Sun Pharma reported a rise of 11.9% in revenue from operations to Rs 16,198.71 crore for the July to September 2026 quarter, while its net profit fell 36.2% to Rs 1,989 crore after one-time charges, as per the results announced on 30 October 2026. Investors who follow the top pharma companies in India are now looking at how a larger revenue base has not led to a steadier profit.
Sun Pharma is still the largest company in the FY26 revenue ranking, with consolidated revenue of about Rs 58,220 crore for April 2025 to March 2026. Shoonya reports growth of roughly 11% over the previous year.
How the rest of the FY26 table looks
Aurobindo Pharma sits second, with consolidated revenue of about Rs 33,653 crore, according to Vibcare. In the January‑March 2026 quarter, the firm hit its highest quarterly revenue and US formulations are bringing in nearly 40% of the total.
Dr Reddy's follows closely at Rs 33,593 crore, an increase of 3.2%, although its profit after tax for the March quarter was lower by around 86%, India Pharma Outlook reports.
Lupin has reported revenue from operations of about Rs 27,958 crore, while Intas Pharmaceuticals, a privately held company, is at around Rs 24,108 crore.
Biocon's operating revenue sits at Rs 16,927 crore which includes Syngene's contribution.
India sales carry Sun while the US slips
Within the quarter, the India formulations business of Sun Pharma grew by about 17.3%, as per eHealth Network and this growth has offset the weaker sales of generic medicines in the United States.
The US business went in the opposite direction. Investing.com, in its recap of the earnings call, reports that sales there fell by 8.2% to roughly $455 million, mostly because the sales of lenalidomide have eroded.
Management has kept its FY27 guidance of high single digit revenue growth, although growth for the first half of the year is running near 11%. The next quarter's US sales will show whether that guidance holds.
