Scripwise ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Information We Collect

Screening and research on Scripwise are free and do not require an account. Creating an account is optional and only needed to sync your watchlist and saved screens across devices. We collect:

• Account data (only if you sign up): Your name, email address, city (optional), investor profile, and a securely hashed password, managed by our authentication provider (Supabase Auth). We never see or store your password in plain text.
• Usage data: Anonymous page views, search queries (not linked to you personally unless you're logged in), and feature usage — via Google Analytics if you accept analytics cookies.
• Technical data: Browser type, device type, and IP address (anonymised) via hosting infrastructure logs.
• We do not collect your phone number or any other personally identifiable information beyond what you provide at signup.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session preferences (e.g., selected filters, watchlist), and Google Analytics cookies to understand anonymous, aggregate usage of the site. We do not use advertising cookies. Third-party services we use (Vercel hosting, Google Analytics) may set their own cookies governed by their respective privacy policies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time, though some features may not work correctly without them.

How We Use Data

• To improve the platform based on aggregate usage patterns
• To monitor and fix technical issues
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes

Data Storage

Market data and account records are stored in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database. Account passwords are handled entirely by Supabase Auth and are never stored or visible to us in plain text. Hosting is provided by Vercel with servers in global edge locations.

Your Rights

If you created an account, you can request deletion of your account and all associated data (email, watchlist, saved screens) at any time by contacting us. Browsing and screening without an account leaves no personal data for us to hold.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
